Letβs talk about managing expectations. Whether you are building a business or a career, you need to be very clear about the expectations you set with others. More importantly, you need to have clear expectations for yourself. This clarity and understanding are important because they allow you to focus on the outcome and objectively evaluate detours that will ultimately arise. Managing expectations is about saying, here’s what I’m doing, here’s how I’m preparing, here’s what I’ve committed to do, here’s the history of how I deliver, and I’m going to do that all the time, consistently.

Who you are.
Where you are.
What you want.
